How long does the car importation process take?

The complete importation process typically takes 6–8 weeks from the time you select your vehicle to final delivery. This includes sourcing, shipping, port clearance, registration and delivery to your preferred location in Kenya.

How can I be sure that I'll get what I requested?

At CARS360, we try to check our sellers carefully, but it's almost impossible to vouch for all of them.

Expectations matter. That's why we strongly recommend you meet with the seller face to face in public places or request payment on delivery to avoid disappointment.

Inspect the car or part to ensure it's what you viewed/ordered, and pay for it ONLY if you are satisfied.

Are the cars, parts and services verified?

We advise that for whichever car, part or service you're looking for on CARS360, ALWAYS request a physical visit to see the car, part or service being offered first before purchasing. You can also request a mechanical check service to check the car or part via our valuation partner.

I've posted my ad but I can't find it on CARS360. Why?

At first, don't worry!

Wait a bit while your ad is under review. It's quite possible that it'll appear in search results within a few hours.

Check your inbox. You'll receive a notification when your ad goes live. If there is something you should edit, we'll specify that as well.

Important! If you make some changes to your ad, it'll go for review again. It won't be shown in search results while we're checking it.

To see the statuses of all your ads or make edits to them, sign in to your CARS360 account and click on "My Adverts".

How do I know if the cars listed or advertised are mechanically sound?

All vehicles listed or advertised are from verified sellers, with working vehicles. Should you want to know more about the car, you can request an inspection report from the seller, or from our trusted inspection/valuation partners.

How does insurance work through CARS360?

You can compare policies, choose coverage and get insured directly from your CARS360 dashboard. And in case of any issues or if experiencing difficulties, we have standby customer experience representatives who will guide you on every step.

Should I pay before or after?

We are a marketplace that only connects buyers with sellers and helps them meet. You will make deals with different people, so it's better to discuss with every seller individually and directly. However, we recommend not sending prepayments. It's unsafe to pay the full sum before seeing the product. Best to set up a face-to-face meeting with the seller in a public place or order delivery, inspect the product, and only pay for it if you are satisfied.

How can I protect myself from being scammed?

Being knowledgeable and cautious are key. Here are a few handy tips that can help protect you from unscrupulous sellers:

  1. Read the Reviews: Check feedback from other buyers before making a deal.
  2. Don't pay before you see it: Meet in a public place or request payment on delivery.
  3. Make sure it is the car or part you inspected: Only pay when satisfied.
